X (Twitter) Creator Revenue Projection Calculator

Quick answer

An X creator revenue projection multiplies your own measured payout per 1,000 impressions by the impressions you plan to reach each month. Divide past payouts by the impressions in the same period, times 1,000, to get that rate. X publishes no payout rate, so this calculator uses only your figures.

How to Use the X Creator Revenue Projection Calculator

  1. Open your payout history in Creator Studio and add up the content payouts for a period you can measure. Enter that total as past payouts.
  2. Open your X analytics for the same dates and enter the total post impressions. The calculator divides one by the other to get your own payout rate.
  3. Enter the impressions you plan per month, a monthly change if you have measured one, and the months to project. Add subscription income and the Premium cost if they apply.

What each result tells you:

ResultWhat it means
Projected income for the periodContent payouts plus subscription income over the months you chose, before the Premium cost and before tax.
Your measured payout ratePast payouts / impressions x 1,000. It is your own blended rate, not a rate set by X.

Content payouts, last monthYour rate applied to the impressions in the final month, after your monthly change.
Subscription incomeYour monthly subscription income x months, held flat.

What Is an X Creator Revenue Projection?

An X creator revenue projection is a forward estimate of what the platform pays you, worked out from a payout rate you measured yourself. It answers one question: if my rate holds and I reach this many impressions, what do the next months add up to?

It is a projection, not a prediction. A projection is plain arithmetic on a rate you supply. It says nothing about whether the rate will hold, and X can change how it pays at any time.

Why this page shows no payout rate: X publishes no amount per impression, per follower or per topic. The X Help Center says only which impressions count and that payouts depend on them. Any table that claims a rate per million impressions is a guess. This calculator uses your own payout history instead, and labels every preset as an example.

The Programme Changed in 2026

The X Help Center states that Creator Revenue Sharing stopped taking new enrolments on August 7, 2026 and was retired on September 7, 2026. Creators now apply to the Original Content Rewards programme. A rate you measured under the old programme may not carry over, so use the most recent payouts you have.

How Does the Revenue Projection Work?

The calculator turns your past payouts into a rate per 1,000 impressions, then applies that rate to each projected month. Subscription income and the Premium cost are added as flat monthly amounts.

Formula: Payout rate = Past payouts / Past impressions x 1,000. Content payouts = Sum over months of (Impressions in month / 1,000 x Payout rate).
  1. Payout rate = past payouts / impressions in the same period x 1,000.
  2. Impressions in month 1 = planned impressions. Each later month = the month before x (1 + monthly change).
  3. Content payouts = payout rate x impressions / 1,000, added up over all months.
  4. Projected income = content payouts + subscription income x months.
  5. Net = projected income - Premium cost x months.

The monthly change compounds. A 5% change makes month 6 about 27.6% larger than month 1, not 25%. Leave the change at 0 unless your own history supports it.

X Creator Revenue Projection Example

Example values only, not benchmarks. A creator received 186.40 in content payouts over a period with 2,400,000 impressions. They plan 2,600,000 impressions next month, have measured 5% monthly growth, earn 120.00 a month from subscriptions and pay 8.00 a month for Premium. They project 6 months.

StepResult
Payout rate (186.40 / 2,400,000 x 1,000)0.0777 per 1,000 impressions
Content payouts, month 1 (2,600,000 / 1,000 x 0.0777)201.93
Content payouts, month 6 (3,318,332 impressions)257.72
Content payouts, 6 months1,373.53
Subscription income (120.00 x 6)720.00
Projected income2,093.53
Premium cost (8.00 x 6)48.00
Net after Premium cost2,045.53

Meaning: the 2,093.53 rests on two assumptions the creator entered. With no growth, the six months of content payouts fall to 1,211.60. The verdict is amber because growth is an assumption, not a measurement of the future.

Factors That Change Your X Payouts

Your measured rate is a blend of several things X controls. These points come from the X Help Center, read on 2026-10-03.

Which Impressions Count

X pays on qualified impressions. It defines these as unique impressions from Premium subscribers in the Home timeline, where at least half of the post is visible. Your analytics total includes many impressions that do not qualify, so your blended rate moves when the mix of viewers moves.

What Is Left Out

X excludes repeat views of one post by the same account, paid or promoted impressions, artificial impressions and fraudulent ones. Impressions on replies do not count toward the eligibility threshold.

Whether the Content Is Original

Copied, lightly edited, aggregated and cross-posted content does not earn under the programme. Posts with a helpful Community Note are also ineligible.

Your Impressions

The projection scales in a straight line with impressions. Estimate them from your own history with the X impressions forecast calculator before you enter a planned figure.

Programme Rules

X says it may modify or cancel the programme at any time. A rate measured in one quarter is not a promise for the next.

Who Can Earn: Eligibility and Payout Rules

A projection matters only if you can be paid. The X Help Center lists these rules for the two creator programmes, as read on 2026-10-03.

RuleOriginal Content RewardsCreator Subscriptions
Age18 or older18 or older
Verified followersAt least 500At least 2,000
ImpressionsAt least 500,000 Home timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 daysAt least 5M organic impressions within the last 3 months
Subscription neededActive Premium, Premium+ or Premium BusinessThe X Premium page lists access to apply under the Premium tier
How pay is setQualified impressions on original contentSubscribers x the price you choose, minus fees
Payout timingEvery two weeksAbout 60 days after the end of the month
Minimum payout$30$50

X adds that meeting the requirements does not guarantee admission, and that you must apply. For subscriptions, X says creators can earn up to about 97% of gross revenue and that X takes no revenue share. App store fees, payment processing, refunds and chargebacks reduce that. The X Premium ROI calculator weighs the subscription cost against what you earn.

Projection vs Prediction: What Is the Difference?

A projection applies a known rate to a planned quantity, and a prediction claims to know the future rate. This page does the first and never the second.

PointProjection (this page)Prediction
Source of the rateYour own payout historyA model or a published average
What it assumesThe rate and the plan you typedHidden assumptions
Can you check itYes, every step is shownUsually not
What it is good forBudgeting and what-if questionsNothing reliable, since X publishes no rate

Run the projection twice, once flat and once with your measured change. The gap between the two shows how much of the total depends on growth.

When to Use a Creator Revenue Projection

Budgeting from Payouts You Already Receive

You have several payouts behind you. Enter them with the matching impressions and project a flat year to see a cautious baseline.

Checking Whether Premium Pays for Itself

Enter the subscription cost. The net figure shows whether your projected payouts cover it.

Comparing Income Streams

Platform payouts are one stream. Price brand work with the X sponsorship rate estimator, then see how the mix looks in the creator revenue diversification calculator.

Common Revenue Projection Mistakes

1. Using a Rate from a Blog

A quoted amount per million impressions is not from X and knows nothing about your audience. Measure your own.

2. Mismatched Dates

Payouts for one period divided by impressions for another give a meaningless rate. Use the same dates for both.

3. Projecting from Followers

X pays on qualified impressions, not on follower count. A follower total cannot be turned into income.

4. Compounding a Lucky Month

One viral month is not a growth rate. Entering it as a monthly change inflates every later month.

5. Reusing an Old Programme Rate

Payouts under Creator Revenue Sharing ended in September 2026. Check the rate again once you have payouts from the new programme.

6. Treating the Total as Take-Home Pay

The projection is before tax. This page gives no tax figure.

Accuracy and Limitations

The arithmetic is exact, so the projection is only as sound as the payouts, impressions and plan you enter.

What it calculates accurately

  • Your own payout rate per 1,000 impressions
  • Content payouts for each month at that rate
  • A compounding monthly change you supply
  • Totals with subscription income and the Premium cost

What it does not account for

  • Any official payout rate, because X publishes none
  • How many of your impressions will qualify
  • Changes X makes to the programme or to eligibility
  • Tax, payment fees, refunds, chargebacks and currency conversion

How We Calculate the Projection

Method
Payout rate = past payouts / past impressions x 1,000. Content payouts = rate x impressions / 1,000 for each month, with impressions compounding by your monthly change. Income = content payouts + subscription income x months. Net = income - Premium cost x months.
Inputs used
Your past payouts, the impressions in the same period, planned monthly impressions, your monthly change, the months, your subscription income and your Premium cost.
Benchmarks
None. No payout per impression, per follower or per niche is used or shown. Presets are labelled examples.
Verdict rule
Red when projected income is below the Premium cost. Amber when the projection includes growth you entered. Neutral for a flat projection.
Rounding
Money to cents, the payout rate to four decimals, impressions to whole numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions About X Creator Revenue

How much does X pay per 1,000 impressions?

X publishes no rate. Its Help Center says payouts are based on qualified impressions from Premium subscribers, without stating an amount. The only reliable figure is your own: past payouts divided by impressions, times 1,000.

Is Creator Revenue Sharing still running?

No. The X Help Center states that new enrolments ended on August 7, 2026 and the programme was retired on September 7, 2026. Creators are directed to apply to the Original Content Rewards programme.

What are qualified impressions?

X defines them as unique impressions from Premium subscribers in the Home timeline where at least 50% of the post is visible. Repeat views by one account, promoted impressions and fraudulent impressions are excluded.

Why does my rate differ from another creator?

Your rate divides payouts by all your impressions, and only some of those qualify. Two accounts with the same total can have very different shares of Premium viewers, so their blended rates differ.

How often does X pay creators?

The X Help Center says Original Content Rewards payouts are processed every two weeks with a minimum payout of $30. Subscription revenue is paid about 60 days after the end of the month, with a $50 minimum.

Do I need X Premium to earn payouts?

Yes for content payouts. X lists an active Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business subscription among the eligibility rules, and you must keep it to stay eligible. Enter its cost to see your net figure.

Can I project income from my follower count?

No. X pays on qualified impressions of original content, not on followers. Use the impressions and payouts in your own account instead.

How much of a subscription price do creators keep?

X says creators can earn up to about 97% of gross subscription revenue and that X takes no share. App store fees, payment processing, refunds and chargebacks reduce the amount, so enter what you were actually paid.

Should I enter a monthly growth rate?

Enter one only if your own last few months support it. Growth compounds, so a small rate changes the total a lot. A flat projection is the cautious baseline.

Is my information saved?

No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to our servers. Anything you choose to Save stays in this browser only.
