Toontown Gag Calculator (Combo, Lure and Organic Damage)

Quick answer

A Toontown gag calculator adds up a gag combo and checks it against a cog HP. It applies organic, lure and same-track combo bonuses in order. Two Cream Pie Slices (14 each) on an unlured level 5 cog deal 34 after the combo bonus, so the 42 HP cog survives. Lure both throws first and the same combo deals 51 and destroys it.

How to Use the Toontown Gag Calculator

  1. Set the cog level and choose whether the cog is lured. The tool works out the cog HP for you.
  2. Build your combo. For each gag, pick the track, the level (tier 1 to 7), whether it is organic, and an exact damage value if you want one. Leave the value blank to use the tier minimum.
  3. Read the result. You get the total damage, the cog HP, whether the cog is destroyed, and a step-by-step breakdown of every bonus.
ResultWhat it means
Total damage to the cogThe summed damage after organic, lure and same-track combo bonuses.
Cog HPThe cog health from the level formula, (L+1)(L+2), plus 14 at level 12 and up.
Cog statusDestroyed when total damage is at least the cog HP, otherwise Survives.
Overkill or shortfallHow much damage is wasted on a kill, or how far short a combo falls.
Toon-Up healHealing from any Toon-Up gag, which never damages a cog.

What Is a Toontown Gag Calculator?

A Toontown gag calculator is a planning tool for Toontown Rewritten combat. You build a gag combo, set the cog level, and it tells you whether the combo destroys the cog before you spend the gags in a real battle.

The key figures come from the Toontown Rewritten community wiki. They are canonical fan-documented numbers that the community treats as authoritative, but they are not an official Disney or TTR data sheet. Base damage is listed as a range per gag, so this tool lets you pick an exact value or default to the minimum. For a different kids-MMO combat tool, see the Wizard101 calculators.

How Does Gag Damage Work?

Toontown resolves a gag combo in a fixed order. Each bonus multiplies the running damage, and rounding happens at set steps. This tool follows that order so the totals match in-game results.

Order: base -> organic (round up) -> lure x1.5 on Throw and Squirt (round) -> same-track combo x1.2 (round up) -> sum vs cog HP
  1. Base damage: each gag has a damage range by level. The tool uses the exact value you enter, or the tier minimum.
  2. Organic bonus: an organic gag multiplies its base, rounded up. Trap, Sound and Throw gain 10 percent, Squirt and Drop gain 15 percent, and Toon-Up heals 20 percent more.
  3. Lure bonus: on a lured cog, Throw and Squirt gain a x1.5 knockback bonus. Drop misses a lured cog, and Trap only fires once a cog is lured.
  4. Same-track combo: when two or more gags of the same track hit together, that track total is multiplied by 1.2 and rounded up. Lure, Trap and Toon-Up do not get this bonus.
  5. Compare to HP: the tool sums every track and destroys the cog when the total is at least the cog HP.

Sound hits every cog in the group, and Toon-Up only heals toons, so it adds nothing to cog damage.

Worked Example: Two Cream Pie Slices into a Level 5 Cog

A level 5 cog has HP of (5 + 1)(5 + 2) = 42. You throw two Cream Pie Slices, each with a base of 14.

  1. Cog not lured: the two throws total 14 + 14 = 28. The same-track combo multiplies by 1.2, giving 33.6, rounded up to 34. Since 34 is below 42, the cog survives.
  2. Cog lured: each throw first gains the x1.5 lure bonus, so 14 becomes 21. The two total 42. The combo multiplies by 1.2, giving 50.4, rounded up to 51. Since 51 is at least 42, the cog is destroyed.

The same two gags flip from a survive to a kill once the cog is lured. That is why lure before Throw or Squirt is such a common Toontown tactic.

Factors That Change Your Gag Damage

Cog Level and HP

Cog HP rises fast. A level 5 cog has 42 HP, a level 10 cog has 132, and a level 20 cog has 476. The level 12 and up formula adds a flat 14 on top of (L+1)(L+2).

Lure Before Throw and Squirt

Lure adds 50 percent to Throw and Squirt damage. On high HP cogs this bonus often decides the kill, as the worked example shows.

Same-Track Combos

Two or more gags of the same track gain a 20 percent group bonus on their combined total. Spreading damage across two tracks loses this bonus.

Organic Gags

An organic gag adds 10 to 20 percent depending on the track. The gain is small per gag but stacks across a combo.

Exact Damage Value

Base damage is a range. A gag near the top of its range, from more skill points, can push a combo over the line.

Lure vs Combo vs Organic Bonuses

BonusSizeApplies toRounding
Lure (knockback)x1.5Throw and Squirt on a lured cogRounded
Same-track combox1.22+ gags of one track (not Lure, Trap, Toon-Up)Rounded up
Organic (Trap, Sound, Throw)x1.1That gag baseRounded up
Organic (Squirt, Drop)x1.15That gag baseRounded up
Organic (Toon-Up)x1.2Heal onlyRounded up

The order matters. Organic is applied to the base first, then lure, then the same-track combo on the track total. Changing the order can shift a result by a point at the rounding step.

When to Use the Toontown Gag Calculator

Planning a Cog Battle

Check a combo before you spend gags so you do not leave a cog on one HP.

Deciding Whether to Lure

Compare the same Throw or Squirt combo with and without lure to see if the x1.5 bonus is worth the lure turn.

Comparing Tracks

Test a Sound combo that hits every cog against a single-target Throw or Drop to pick the better play for a group.

Choosing Organic Gags

See how much an organic track adds before you commit to one in your gag loadout.

Common Gag Combo Mistakes

1. Dropping on a Lured Cog

Drop misses a lured cog. Use Throw or Squirt while the lure holds, and save Drop for after it breaks.

2. Expecting Trap to Fire Early

Trap needs a lured cog to activate. A trap with no lure does nothing that turn.

3. Splitting a Combo Across Tracks

Two different tracks lose the 20 percent same-track combo. Matching tracks usually hits harder.

4. Forgetting Lure Only Helps Throw and Squirt

Lure gives no damage bonus to Sound, Drop or Trap. Only Throw and Squirt get the x1.5.

5. Treating Toon-Up as Damage

Toon-Up only heals toons. It never reduces cog HP.

6. Using One Damage Figure

Base damage is a range. For general dice and combat odds, see what DPS means and how to calculate it.

Accuracy and Limitations

The math here follows the community-documented damage order, so the totals match the wiki worked examples.

What it models

  • Cog HP for levels 1 to 20, including the level 12 and up step.
  • Organic, lure and same-track combo bonuses in the correct order.
  • Drop missing a lured cog, Trap needing a lure, and Toon-Up healing only.

What it does not cover

  • Gag accuracy and miss chance; it assumes gags land.
  • Cog defense or level-based damage resistance beyond HP.
  • Cog bosses, skelecogs, field offices and v2.0 cogs with extra HP.
  • Corporate Clash, which uses different gag and HP numbers.

How We Calculate Gag Damage

Method
Each gag is taken from base damage, then organic, lure and same-track combo bonuses are applied in a fixed order, and the track totals are summed against the cog HP.
Source

Scope
Toontown Rewritten only. Corporate Clash uses different numbers and is out of scope.
Cog HP
(L+1)(L+2) for levels 1 to 11, and (L+1)(L+2)+14 for level 12 and up.
Rounding
Organic and the same-track combo round up; lure rounds to the nearest whole number.
Verified example
Two Cream Pie Slices into a 42 HP cog: 34 unlured (survives), 51 lured (destroyed).

Frequently Asked Questions About Toontown Gags

How much HP does a cog have?

Cog HP is (L+1)(L+2) for levels 1 to 11, so a level 5 cog has 42. From level 12 up, add 14, so a level 12 cog has 196 and a level 20 cog has 476.

Does lure boost every gag?

No. Lure gives a x1.5 damage bonus only to Throw and Squirt on a lured cog. Sound, Drop and Trap get no lure damage bonus.

Why does Drop miss a lured cog?

A lured cog is held in place at toon level, so Drop passes over it. You must let the lure break before Drop can land.

How does the same-track combo bonus work?

When two or more gags of the same track hit together, their combined damage is multiplied by 1.2 and rounded up. Lure, Trap and Toon-Up do not get this bonus.

What does an organic gag add?

An organic gag adds a small damage bonus: 10 percent for Trap, Sound and Throw, 15 percent for Squirt and Drop, and 20 percent healing for Toon-Up.

Does Toon-Up damage cogs?

No. Toon-Up only heals toons. This tool shows the heal amount but never counts it as cog damage.

Why is base damage shown as a range?

Each gag scales with skill points from a minimum at unlock to a maximum before the next gag unlocks. The tool uses the exact value you enter, or the tier minimum.

Can I use this for Corporate Clash?

No. These figures are for Toontown Rewritten only. Corporate Clash uses different gag and cog numbers.

Are these numbers official?

No. They are community and canonical figures from the Toontown Rewritten wiki, which the community treats as authoritative, but they are not an official developer spec and may change with game updates.

Why did my combo come up one point off?

The exact internal rounding when several bonuses stack is community-derived. A result can differ by about one point at a rounding step.
