For example, 35 days ÷ 7 = 5 weeks exactly. When the number of days is not a multiple of 7, you get a decimal answer. To express that as whole weeks plus leftover days, take the integer part as your week count and multiply the decimal portion by 7:
So 10 days → floor(10/7) = 1 week, with 10 − 7 = 3 days remaining.
